From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2010/11 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: Decked out in full evening dress, plumes and diadems adorning their hair, elegant ladies cross the line of Republican Guards on the arms of their cavaliers. The crowd presses forward on the esplanade, the Opera is brilliantly lit up and above the Muses float the "tricolor" flags: Poetry, Music and Dance are the colours of the Republic. Cherubs support the lights, a woman steps down from her carriage, the men sport their ceremonial clothes, a musician hurries towards the artistes' entry... With a light and alert brush, Jean-Louis Clerc sketches a humorous and lively portrait of fin de siècle Paris.

- Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
