From The Hermès Fall-Winter 2015/16 Seasonal Scarf Booklet: As a schoolgirl, Alice Shirley learned the poem The Tyger, written in 1794 by the English painter William Blake. Poetry has the power to be etched forever onto the hearts of children, and this young woman, now an illustrator, has turned the poem into an exquisitely tender design. Under a star-filled sky, a tiger of majestic gentleness reposes on a bed of flowers. Alice Shirley regularly works with the Natural History Museum in London whose library houses an excellent collection of botanical plates commissioned by the East India Company. There, she discovered the plants of the Periyar Tiger Reserve in India, and used them for inspiration to draw the feline in its natural habitat.

Combining her childhood memories with her talent, the British artist specialized in the animal world drew inspiration from a magnificent collection of botanical illustrations at London's Natural History Museum to offer this grandiose feline the multicolored flowers and plants of its Perivar reserve in India. - Twilly: small but mighty, use it like a typical scarf, as a bag handle, as a belt, and more.
- 45cm: this is the typical pocket square size, will fit around the neck like a bandana.
- 55cm: this is the bandana size typically printed in 3 colors to look like a traditional bandana.
- 70cm: this is a great option for petites and they are typically made out of a lighter weight silk than any of the other formats.
- 90cm: this is the classic Hermès scarf size. It's very versatile and if you're looking at any vintage photos, this is the scarf size that's worn.
- 140cm: the largest size of the bunch, almost reaching 5 ft. It's hard to capture the scale in photos but these are incredible as a lightweight shawl in the summer, or folded for a warmer feel in the winter.
